Be the first to get pwned!  Fileplanet subscribers will soon have a chance to register for access to the Crysis Multiplayer beta set to roll out within the next few weeks.  Yay, Crysis!  Fileplanet? Ughh - again? 

I'm getting a little tired of publishers trading exclusivity for bandwidth.  We need an alternative.  Anyone?

We'll have more to report regarding Crysis multiplayer later this month when we finally get a chance to go hands-on.  From what we know so far the multiplayer mode will stress strategy over marksmanship as players will have to work together to manage resources that will ultimately unlock access to advanced alien technology.

Eric Lagel, Crytek Multiplayer Development Manager, commented "What really excites us is looking forward to seeing what strategies will emerge from the community. New features, like the nanosuit, will certainly inspire innovation in multiplayer gameplay."

Considering the options available to players based on the nanosuit alone I suspect you'll want to finish the single-player campaign first if you wish to avoid getting your ass handed to you in multiplayer.
