PAX | Women in Games

One thing that happened on Friday that I forgot to mention was the yearly Women in Games panel. This panel always has a few female faces from the gaming world. There’s always a Frag Doll on the panel.

I quickly realized that if questions were out of the scope of answering, they were very nicely avoided. For instance, I asked the question, "What can we do to better promote the math and science parts of the industry, in particular programming, to women?" The response I received was, "There are a lot of women in the industry who are found in management roles and run projects. Girls are just generally better at the multitasking and planning element of the projects."

 ...

Thanks for not answering my question. This is the first panel of the weekend that really let me down.
