One thing that happened on Friday that I forgot to mention was the yearly Women in Games panel. This panel always has a few female faces from the gaming world. There’s always a Frag Doll on the panel.
I quickly realized that if questions were out of the scope of answering, they were very nicely avoided. For instance, I asked the question, "What can we do to better promote the math and science parts of the industry, in particular programming, to women?" The response I received was, "There are a lot of women in the industry who are found in management roles and run projects. Girls are just generally better at the multitasking and planning element of the projects."
