In a move that some find absolutely confounding, Michael Kelbeug, Retro's President and CEO, confirmed in a recent Q&A session with GamePro that Metroid Prime 3 would be completely devoid of multiplay.
Kelbeug: It's something we talked about early on, but we only have so many resources. We opted to devote those resources to making a better single-player experience.
While that's all well and good, I continue to question Nintendo's lack of interest in the multiplayer market, especially when titles such as Prime 3 and the new Smash Bros. could have fantastic multiplayer gameplay.

Too many team play games resulted in smashed noses and TVs from flinging wiimotes so the devs were asked not to make their games fun anymore when developing for the Wii.
You play alone!!
