Already just two days after the launch, Chris Taylor's newest massive undertaking has been patched. Supreme Commander build 3217 addresses a number of minor bugs and balance issues that escaped Gas Powered Games' QA department, but more importantly it adds a new minimalist GUI meant to appease those scores of gamers complaining about the admittedly huge interface that takes up a large amount of the screen. The new GUI is simply a new feature, not a replacement, however, so those players that don't have a problem with the original GUI won't have to worry about their comfortable interface disappearing.
The patch can be downloaded directly from THQ, or through the GPGNet service that ships with Supreme Commander. For an outline of the changes implemented in the patch, see the Release Notes.
