PS3 European Pricing Unveiled?

George Fornay, president of Sony Computer Entertainment France and vice president of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has commented (according to various French publications) that the PS3 should sell for around €500, or somewhere in between €499 and €599. Okay, that translated to between $612 and $734. Been saving? A lot?

I like to throw a little hope in with the despair though, so let me tell you this: speculation over at Joystiq is that, though Europe may have it tougher than expected, the US might not be as bad. If we can take an example from the Xbox 360s European release, the conversion isn't an exact science when it comes to consoles. I'm still hoping for $500, possibly $600 at the most. Call me crazy but you can't prove nothin' just yet. Ha!
