I was getting' all peeved while waiting for Mr. Gates' speech at CES. Ya see, rumors had been flying that he was going to announce a new Xbox360 with a HD-DVD drive. Being one who had just purchased a 360, this would sucked for me 'cause I didn't want to have to buy another 'box.

Well, to some surprise, Bill did announce a HD-DVD drive, but it would be an external device add-on for existing Xbox360s! *whew* Not a bad move on Microsoft's part. This helps 'em fight with the PS3 for HD braggin' rights without irking existing 360 owners. There wasn't much info on the unit itself, but that we will see it sometime in 2006. Neato!
