Red Faction 2 Review | PS2Admittedly, I didn't give Red Faction much of a chance for PC back about a year ago. Impressive indeed was its concept, and the technology behind it, but personally, I felt it to be a step back as far as FPS's. However, Pachoey was a thouch impressed with its PS2 counterpart. Perhaps this is just one of those games that belongs on a console? Who knows. What I do know though, is Assymilator was rather impressed with the sequel. And that's what we're all here about anyways, right? So on with it!
Get it
here. And take a lick of this:
Red Faction was the very first shooter title I had played on my then new Playstation 2 console. It was whole loads of fun being able to blast through walls and mowing down the opposing force with powerful, futuristic weaponry. The revolutionary GeoMOD technology alone was a reason to check out the game and the story behind everything was really cool too, rising from being in rags to doing something about the oppressive government that was being run in that Mars colony. Needless to say I was excited on all levels about getting my hands dirty with this game, and that I did. Is it a worthy successor to the first Red Faction? Pick up that W.A.S.P. over there and come find out.
