Warhawk is looking to be a snazzy new title for the PS3. Fancy graphics/effects and it’s one of the first playable titles to make use of new PS3 motion controller. Fans of the original need to know that they plan on adding land missions, too. *sigh* Why must developers tack on land missions to all of our flying games (like Starfox)? I asked Brian Upton, the Director of Warhawk, this and their reasoning was that it helps the player become engrossed in the story. You become more attached to the character. Without the land missions you just focus on the ship.

Seems like a decent enough answer. I’d rather just pretend that I’m flying the ship, Last Starfighter style, blowing up everything in sight! The land missions were not ready for prime-time, yet, so I’ll have to wait until I can see and play them before passing my final judgement.
