We've all been sitting around wondering when would the first whiffs of FREE
Unreal Tournament 3 modded content finally hit the internets. As it turns out it happened today. A post by
Mark Rein on the
UT3 forums explains the entire process to enjoy
DM-Shrine - a user created map by forum poster Setheran (a.k.a. Thomas Brower).
Outside of having a load of steps to complete (but then again it's safe to assume anyone who is waiting for these mods has this type of equipment), it's still fairly simple procedure to import mods for the game. Yet, it would be a lot easier if these mods could either (a) be downloaded directly to the PS3's HD using the included web browser, or (b) a downloaded through a client included in the game. All complaints aside, it's still important to keep in perspective that there still isn't a mod solution for 360 users when UT3 comes out for the Xbox in 2008.
