That Top Hat wearing shredder Slash - frontman for Velvet Revolver, and previously (for the older crowd) shredder behind the 80s rock power-house Guns & Roses - will be making an appearance in Activision and RedOctane's upcoming Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.

Apparently you'll be able to shred against Slash himself - experts only need apply within - as well as rock the classic anthem 'Welcome to the Jungle'.

Other bands on tap include the Rolling Stones, Beastie Boys and Pearl Jam.
